  • Up to 80 hours of in-person education to help new graduates nurses care for unique populations including cardiac, stroke, IV therapy, trauma, and surgical.

  • Dedicated preceptors and weekly check-ins with an education mentor
  • New Graduate RN development sessions and skills labs

Clinical Advancement Program

The Southern New Hampshire Medical Center RN Clinical Advancement Program (RNCAP) recognizes and promotes clinical excellence and staff engagement, as well as supports the ongoing professional development of nurses at the bedside. The Clinical Advancement Programs consists of 4 levels of achievement, each with a corresponding set of requirements which encompasses the four Magnet® components. Participants of the program customize their journey through a vast array of elective components that complement their strengths and interests.

Leadership Academy

Staff can develop their leadership knowledge and abilities through an unlimited access to the SolutionHealth Leadership Academy. Leadership Academy prepares leaders to inspire and engage others through words and actions, be accountable to others and provide continuous feedback, challenge people to think innovatively and raise the bar, and to fulfill our mission and achieve system results. The interactive website guides staff through an assessment of their current strengths, targets leadership competencies, guides the creation of a leadership development plan all with supporting courses and resources. The dedicated Leadership Academy staff will also work with staff to provide individualized leadership development planning.

Residency Program for New Graduates

SNHMC new graduate nurses receive:

Best Match Program

This is an exciting time as you begin your nursing career and Southern NH Medical Center wants to make your transition seamless! Join our Best Match program where, after your new-hire orientation week, you will orient to multiple areas on the Medical Surgical and Telemetry caring for cardiac, neurological/neurosurgical, post-op, bariatric, nephrology, oncology patients across the care continuum. Your dynamic experiences will guide your decision on where to begin your Best Match!

Periop 101

Interested in starting a new career path in Surgical Services? We offer a comprehensive orientation path built around the AORN’s Periop 101 course which is the premier, standardized education program for RNs entering the perioperative specialty. It fully prepares nurses with consistent, current information, and clinical experience to reinforce what they’ve learned. The program is developed to cover all topics from anesthesia to instruments to pre- and post-operative care requirements. The course is continually updated to reflect the latest evidence-based Guidelines for Perioperative Practice. The dedicated OR educator provides an additional level of individualized support and preceptorship to support your success during this transition.

Student Loan Paydown

The Nursing Student Loan Paydown (SLP) Plan assists eligible employees with paying down student loans by making a direct contribution to their student loan account. We’ve partnered with Gradifi to help eligible employees reduce the burden of student loan debt! Through Gradifi, Southern New Hampshire Health will make a monthly contribution towards student loan debt up to $20,000 per participant.

Tuition Reimbursement

Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement for approved accredited programs, including college-level courses, certificate and credentialing programs and exams, and LNA programs.
