The Clinical Decision Support Engineer plans, implements and monitors the Clinical Decision Support program. This includes the analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based rules and workflows that improve key healthcare outcomes such as the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of care delivery.
Education: Associate Degree in Computer Science or an Associate Degree in a clinical healthcare-related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years IS experience implementing systems.
Skills/abilities: Working knowledge of personal computing technology including user computing tools from both a technical and user perspective. Proficiency with computer programming/scripting languages and tools including SQL, Arden Syntax, TIBCO iProcess and other tools required to develop automated workflow processes. Ability to resolve complex problems in a timely manner with superior technical problem solving skills.
